Another day, another major accomplishment for One Direction. Yep, the band are officially the biggest U.K. act in the world. No big deal.

According to MTV UK, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) confirmed that One Direction retained their title from the previous too years. Not two shabby!

Directioner or not, you're most likely well aware of 1D's success. Each of the band's four albums have debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard chart. Oh, yeah, and there's the matter of their sold-out stadium tours.

The band showed their sincere gratitude for the honor in a statement they released (via MTV UK), "We just want to thank all our amazing fans everywhere. Every time we visit a new country, we feel instantly accepted and it’s mind-blowing to think the five of us have been able to connect with so many people.”

Simon Cowell, who famously put One Direction together during their season on The X Factor, added, "I am absolutely delighted – and immensely proud – that One Direction were the biggest U.K. act in the world in 2014. To accomplish this for a third year in a row is a fantastic achievement – and especially pleasing as this latest album also highlighted the band's skills as songwriters."

In other words, One Direction are straight up crushin' it.

According to Sky News, IFPI's list ranks the top acts in the world, placing solo artist Taylor Swift in the top spot. One Direction came in second overall, followed by Ed Sheeran in third place, Coldplay at No. 4 and AC/DC at No. 5.
