You already know that Nickelodeon wants to give One Direction a TV show. Now we're learning just what kinds of shows the adorable blokes are considering.

The Examiner suggests that the history-making band isn't interested in a scripted series for several reasons. One issue is timing, since the band will be touring for the majority of 2012 and already has a sophomore album slated for 2013. When would they be able to memorize their lines?! Additionally, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne aren't too comfortable with acting.

Another factor? The inevitable comparisons to their tour mates and fellow Nick stars, Big Time Rush -- as well as another famous made-for-TV band: the Monkees. The band's credibility is important to them, and it's already come under criticism since they formed on 'X Factor.' In a similar vein, the group doesn't want to give that much control over their image to the kids' network, nor do they want to split merchandising fees with the company.

The band is also wary of one of them being the "breakout star." One Direction considered their guest appearance on 'iCarly' to be sort of a test run, and it was made clear that Harry Styles would be the token heartthrob of the group. He was selected to play the love interest for Carly (Miranda Cosgrove), and he also gets the bulk of female attention from fans. The group collectively doesn't want Styles to become the Justin Timberlake of their N'Sync, if you get the drift.

So what kinds of projects are the band considering? A musical variety show in the form of a recurring special show or miniseries is one option, featuring themselves and other performers. Other ideas include a reality show, a documentary film or a scripted TV movie.

No matter what the band decides to do, it's pretty much guaranteed to be a hit. We can't wait to see what they have in store!
