Well done, Directioners! Your votes helped One Direction cap off an extraordinary year by winning PopCrush's 2012 Music Awards for Artist of the Year and Best Magazine Cover.

Both races were super-close, with 1D beating out Justin Bieber by less than 1% of the vote. For Artist of the Year, the boys collected 38.64% of the total online votes, just ahead of Bieber's 37.96%. Despite an impressive list of other challengers, including Adele, Rihanna and Taylor Swift, no other artist was even close to the top two contenders. Last year's winner, Lady Gaga, placed a distant third with 8.98%.

One Direction also won the Best Magazine Cover title for their series of black and white covers for Fabulous magazine. Again, the boys prevailed by a razor-thin margin, edging out Bieber's Complex cover 41.09% to 40.45%. Other nominees included Gaga on Vogue, Bruno Mars on Playboy, Rihanna on GQ, Nicki Minaj on Complex and Kesha on V.

Congrats to Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry, and Louis. The two PopCrush honors are another reward for One Direction's breakout year in America, which saw them rack up hits 'What Makes You Beautiful,' 'One Thing,' 'Live While We're Young' and 'Little Things.' With more singles planned from their 'Take Me Home' album and a huge world tour coming up, we have a feeling 1D will be back again at the 2013 PopCrush Awards.
