OneRepublic were one of the many performers to take the stage at the 2011 American Music Awards. Although they weren't awful, their performance definitely fell short in comparison to the other artists who performed at the Nokia Theatre on Nov. 20. Ryan Tedder seemed to be struggling throughout the song, especially during the higher notes in the chorus of their hit track 'Good Life.'

Although Tedder's voice was strained at points, his stage presence was strong and the rest of the OneRepublic members sounded great as they played the feel-good, xylophone-laden song. At one point during the performance, Tedder, who was wearing a red leather jacket and white pants, ripped off his guitar and just launched it into the air! It was clear he was feeling the music, but his vocal performance was lacking. Too bad B.o.B. wasn't around to lend him a helping hand.

Even if OneRepublic were a bit off tonight, they had some tough acts to follow, including an amazing performance from Jennifer Lopez and a fiery show from Nicki Minaj and David Guetta. Perhaps OneRepublic were a bit sour after losing to Maroon 5 for Favorite Band / Duo / Group in the pop / rock category at the 2011 American Music Awards.
