At the 2013 Oscars, Jennifer Hudson reprised the role that made her both a household name and an Academy Award winner.

Hudson's performance was part of a montage of tributes to iconic songs in film musicals, and she held her own with ensemble performances from the casts of 'Les Miserables' and 'Chicago.'

Rocking a floor-length sparkling gunmetal gown with a down-to-there V-neck and shoulder-grazing purple stone earrings, Hudson channeled her inner Effie White with 'And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going,' her showstopping number from 'Dream Girls.' J-Hud followed a showcase of much pomp and bombast in Catherine Zeta Jones' tribute to 'Chicago,' but Hudson needed no such accompaniment. It was just Hudson, her music, a spotlight and her powerhouse voice.

Hudson received a standing ovation at the conclusion of the song, which was abbreviated to accommodate the time allotted in the broadcast, and holy heck did the girl earn it.
