OutKast are one of the most revered rap groups in hip-hop. The dynamic duo, comprised of Andre 3000 and Big Boi, has released six albums together, all of them hailed as classic works.

Andre and Boi met in high school and shared a love for rapping and music. Initially, they called themselves "the Misfits" but later decided on the name "OutKast." After a couple of years of toiling in the underground rap scene, 'Kast caught the ear of L.A. Reid, who needed a rap group for his LaFace record label.

Their 1994 debut album, 'Southernplayalisticcadillacmuzik,' is credited for laying the brickwork of the southern hip-hop sound and introduced the "Dirty South" to a new generation of rap fans. That continued on 'ATLiens,' 'Aquemini,' 'Stankonia' and their hip-hop masterpiece, 'Speakerboxxx / The Love Below.'

Fans have been pleading with 'Kast to reunite for one more album, as Andre and Boi haven't been in the studio together in over seven years. In between their long separation, Big Boi has released two solo albums -- his most recent is titled 'Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors.'
