If you've been itching for new music from Owl City, then look no further. The lyric video for his song "Verge" has just been released, featuring Aloe Blacc's insanely smooth vocals on the track.

Owl City's Adam Young may be a few years removed from his own high school graduation, but the graduation-themed lyric video for "Verge" could not have been released at a more appropriate time. Those actually graduating from high school or even college can probably relate to the song's theme of having your entire life still ahead of you while the rest of us can embrace the nostalgia for that feeling. The video is fully animated, with nary a live-action person seen throughout -- a favored trend in lyric videos these days.

The song itself is your classic Owl City track -- a pop song heavy on the electronica with hyperbolic lyrics, but the song's real strength lies in Blacc's vocals. His stellar, full-bodied  voice injects each line with passion and believability and every artist should consider enlisting him for a feature.

"Verge" is the first city off Owl City's upcoming fifth album Mobile Orchestra. The follow-up to 2012's Midsummer Station is currently set for a July 10 release date, but you can pre-order the album in the meantime which will unlock an immediate download of "Verge."
