Brandon Urie took the idiom "break a leg" a little too literally on Sunday when he broke his ankle on stage during a Panic! At the Disco performance in Pompano Beach, Fla.

Urie reportedly made a hard landing on his ankle during the show, and after performing the duo's 'Vices & Virtues' song 'Always,' he told the crowd he thought it might be broken. He proceeded to take his shoe and sock off while the audience gasped at the sight of his massively swollen joint.

"What does that mean?!" he said between laughs. "There's a softball in my ankle!" The singer later likened the engorged mass to his "grandma's goiter" and called it "disgusting."

"My left leg is done for the show, if you don't mind," Urie announced while limping. "We're just gonna let it chill out ... The show will go on if you'll have us." And it did.
