Patrick Stump Announces Fall Tour Dates, Premieres ‘Soul Punk’ Album Art

Patrick Stump fans! The singer has unveiled the cover of his upcoming solo debut 'Soul Punk' and announced a slew of tour dates with old pals Panic! at the Disco.

The 'Soul Punk' artwork depicts the singer, sporting his current tuxedo-and-leather-gloves look, standing inside a series of imaginary yellow boxes with a city skyline behind him.

Perhaps it's a metaphor for Stump's desire to break out of any boxes or labels that might pigeonhole his music. Or maybe he just thought the visual looked cool (and he was right).

Stump and Panic! at the Disco were label-mates back when the singer fronted Fall Out Boy and both bands recorded for Fueled By Ramen. Their 23-date tour kicks off at the Knitting Factory in Reno on October 9 and wraps up on November 10 in Sauget, Illinois.

'Soul Punk' drops during the middle of the tour, on October 18. Stump told PopCrush he played all the instruments on the record because he wanted to make a statement and release music he was proud of, without following any current trends.
