Pauly D of ‘Jersey Shore’ Hired as Palms Casino Resident DJ

First Snooki rides her way onto the cover of 'Rolling Stone' and now, her 'Jersey Shore' star castmate Pauly D has nabbed a new gig thanks to the increasing popularity of the MTV reality show.

Pauly D has inked a deal to become the exclusive resident DJ at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas throughout the rest of 2011.

As part of his new job, Pauly D will perform at Rain Nightclub, Moon Nightclub and Palms Pool & Bungalows.

"As a DJ, it has always been a dream of mine to have a residency in Las Vegas, so I am really honored to call Palms, the ultimate music destination, my second home this year," the reality star says in a statement. "Everyone at Palms and 9 Group have always been so exceptionally kind to me, and I am very excited to incorporate my style into their already incredible events."

This new gig just proves that the 'Jersey Shore' series and its subjects have no intentions of slowing down or fading into pop culture obscurity.

We first heard Pauly D's mixing in his song 'Beat da Beat,' which is featured on the 'Jersey Shore' soundtrack. Not Grammy-winning, but yeah, it could be perfect for Sin City. Lookout, Palms! Pauly D and Jersey have arrived to take over your world!
