'Jersey Shore' DJ Pauly D is about to get himself a record deal. And not just any record deal -- he's signing with 50 Cent's G-Unit Records.

XXXLMag.com says Pauly has a pending three-album deal with the imprint. He hopes to sign it before the end of the year. Pauly tells the site he expects the rapper to appear on his music: "We ended up linking up and we just clicked. We hit it off immediately with the music and everything like that. So, I’m definitely gonna be working with him."

Pauly D was a DJ long before 'Jersey Shore,' and he has some cred, having been tapped to appear on a handful of dates for Britney Spears' Femme Fatale Tour.

'Jersey Shore' airs on Thursdays on MTV. The current season features Pauly and the rest of the cast living in Florence, Italy. XXLMag.com also reports that Pauly will be featured in a new spin-off series on MTV focusing on his DJ career.

If Pauly's albums are successful, perhaps he can help 50 Cent move up on the list of hip-hop's top earners, where he only tied for 17th place. Fiddy has threatened to never record any new albums of his own due to Interscope delaying the release of his latest project.
