Pentatonix’s Kevin Olusola Is Just As Excited for the Kelly Clarkson Tour as We Are [EXCLUSIVE]
In addition to being immensely, almost mind-numbingly talented, Pentatonix’s Kevin “K.O.” Olusola is basically the most positive, upbeat person on the face of this planet. Dude is a straight-up ray of sunshine. So you can imagine the excitement emanating from the phone when we spoke to him about Pentatonix joining Kelly Clarkson on her upcoming Piece by Piece tour.
“I. am. SO. excited,” he gushed, making sure to enunciate each word to accurately convey his enthusiasm. “Oh my goodness. I think it is going to be a lot of fun. I mean, honestly, [it’s going to be] the main [Pentatonix] sound that you love, just on a bigger scale. I think it’s going to be like the same tour that we’re on now — everything’s just bigger production. And we’re really excited for that.”
While he’s unsure if he’ll break out his famous “celloboxing” on the Kelly Clarkson tour (“I really hope so,” he told us, “It’s something we’ll have to talk about.”), one thing we’re determined to make happen is an insanely epic Kelly Clarkson/Pentatonix a cappella collab.
“Lord, I pray so. That would be SO much fun,” Kevin revealed. “Actually, when she made the announcement, she said she’d love to come out for one of our songs and she tweeted about it too! She was like, ‘I’d love to see something like that happen.’ She seems totally down. So if we were to make something like that happen, it would be totally epic.”
For real. It would be. And K.O. is in total agreement, telling us, “That would literally be the most amazing thing.” #ACCURATE.
