Katy Perry is the top nominee at the 2012 People's Choice Awards with six nods, while Beyonce and Lady Gaga are right behind with five each.

In addition to Perry's five music nominations, including Favorite Song for 'E.T.' and Favorite Music Video for 'Last Friday Night,' Perry scored a sixth nod for Favorite TV Guest Star for her cameo on 'How I Met Your Mother.'

Favorite Album of the Year features Gaga's 'Born This Way,' Beyonce's '4,' Adele's '21,' Britney Spears' 'Femme Fatale' and Lady Antebellum's 'Own the Night,' while Favorite Song pits Gaga against Perry, Adele, LMFAO, and Maroon 5 with Christina Aguilera.
