The mother of 'American Idol' Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips has been charged with DUI in Albany, Ga., according to reports. Cheryl Jean Phillips was booked after failing a field sobriety test this afternoon (Feb. 14).

Cheryl was stopped around 1PM after officers noticed her weaving all over the road and hitting a curb. After she failed a field test, she was taken to the hospital for a blood test, the results of which may not be known for a few weeks.

Cheryl was charged with "DUI Less Safe," a label used when suspects are believed to be under the influence of a substance other than alcohol. Major Bill Berry of the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit explained, "They didn't smell or detect any alcohol on her person, but she couldn't complete the field sobriety test so our guys charged her with less safe since she was under the influence of something." TMZ claims that Cheryl split with her husband last week, which could have contributed to her being out of sorts.

Cheryl Jean Phillips appeared on 'Idol' with Phillip a few times during his run to the finals and accompanied him during his homecoming parade in Leesburg, Georgia last May. Phillip has since gone on to score a Top 10 hit with 'Home' and a hit album with 'The World From the Side of the Moon.'
