Pia Toscano didn't win 'American Idol,' but she is so over that now. The New Yorker has moved onto bigger and better things, like her first single 'This Time,' which is just the kick-start for her full length album, due out this November.

Wetpaint caught up with Pia, who spilled deets on her debut record, which she is working on with famed production moguls Rock Mafia. The 22-year-old aspiring diva gushed that she even got studio time with Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and Harvey Mason, Jr., who collectively have worked with the likes of Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Jordin Sparks and the talented Jennifer Hudson. "I have a wonderful track called ‘Counterfeit’ with Rock Mafia," the 'AI' famer spilled. "That’s definitely one I’m excited about."

Pia hasn't revealed the album name yet, but she did give some insightt info as to how it's coming along. "As soon as I get off tour, I’ll finish the album," she said. "November, the album will be released. We’re about eight or nine songs in right now."

While 'AI' is a thing of the past, Pia doesn't discredit the show for getting her career's engine going. "'American Idol' was so amazing. It’s basically been a crash course in the music industry -- it catapults your career and opens so many doors," she said, adding that she has grown really close to her fellow competitors. "Just being with 10 contestants that love to do what I love to do -- I mean, we’ve bonded so much. We’re on tour now, and I’m upset that it’s ending."
