Anticipation was already running high for 'Thanks for Sharing,' the upcoming dramedy about recovering sex addicts. But the 2012 flick just got a little bit hotter with news that pop-rock chanteuse Pink is joining the cast.

Penned and directed by 'The Kids Are All Right' scribe Stuart Blumberg, the movie stars professional swoon-inducer Mark Ruffalo alongside Gwyneth Paltrow -- whose lifestyle website GOOP taught us everything we know about making brick-oven fired artisanal kale chips. Vulture notes that the press release uses Pink's birth name, Alecia Moore, rather than the mononym she’s used for her whole career. Makes sense to us: “Pink” is hardly a name befitting a serious thespian; “Alecia Moore” has a little more gravity.

Also set to appear in 'Thanks for Sharing' are Tim Robbins, Joely Richardson (of Nip/Tuck fame), and Book of Mormon star Josh Gad — who plays a sex addict named Neil with whom Pink’s character shares a special connection. If Pink brings the same brash, bada-- energy to the role that she injects into her music, Thanks for Sharing should be a must-see.

The tough songbird, now 32, gave birth to her first daughter, Willow Sage, earlier this summer with her husband, motocross racer Carey Hart. The pair have had a turbulent relationship; since tying the knot in 2006, they separated in 2008 before reuniting in 2009. Pink’s 2010 best-of compilation, 'Greatest Hits... So Far!!!' produced a pair of singles, “Raise Your Glass” and “F---in’ Perfect,” which peaked at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on the Billboard Hot 100.
