The PopCrush Fan Choice Awards are well underway, which means you -- our faithful readers -- have the opportunity to vote your favorite celebrities to the top spot of their respective categories.

2015's been a huge year for pop artists, boasting a hefty amount of comebacks (Adele, Justin Bieber), the continued mammoth success of a select few (Taylor Swift, Katy Perry) and others who surprised us with a slight change in sound (Selena Gomez, The Weeknd, Demi Lovato). It's tough to decide which singular artist managed to overshadow all the rest.

But the truth is the following eight artists did stand out from their contemporaries, and you get to pick which one is most deserving of the coveted Artist of the Year title.

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber realized the error of his ways earlier this year, embarking on an impeccably crafted apology tour in an attempt to win over the general public -- and it worked. He followed that up by releasing some seriously good music that catered to a more mature audience, and continued to repent via his comeback album Purpose. Despite a few minor gaffes, 2015's been a good year for Bieber, all things considered.

Adele

Adele unleashed "Hello," the lead single to her upcoming album 25, without so much as a press release -- because she didn't need one. Finally realizing the weight of her absence, the powerhouse vocalist made her triumphant, record-shattering return with one hell of a breakup song, leaving the rest of the world always wanting more.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande made headlines earlier this year for her donut-licking ways, a few overblown remarks many deemed unpatriotic and her reported 'diva-like' behavior. But then she released her funky new single "Focus" and all that mattered was her music again, riling fans up for the release of her upcoming album Moonlight.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift's 1989 turned her from country-leaning-pop act to bonafide pop star with the release of a single album. Millions of records have since been sold, an ever-growing entourage of famous friends has been paraded about on stage and countless accolades have been awarded to Ms. Swift. If anyone had a good year, it was her.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry hasn't released new music since 2013's Prism, but that's fine: She's managed to keep herself relevant with an enormous world tour, becoming the face of Moschino and -- oh yeah -- performing the halftime show during the 2015 Super Bowl.

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez opted out of the pop-rock of her younger days with Selena and the Scene, going the straight-up sultry route on her new album Revival. Thankfully it works for her -- she seems to have finally found her niche this time around.

Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato set out to release an album she was 100% proud of, and judging by her Confident attitude this era -- she did. She followed up her hit "Cool for the Summer" with the equally playful "Confident," and reminded everyone she has the talent to backup the pop star status with a stellar performance on Saturday Night Live.

The Weeknd

The Weeknd turned his cult-like following into worldwide recognition with the release of his poppiest track yet, "Can't Feel My Face." The song is still played in endless rotation on the radio, and topped Billboard's Hot 100 chart for three non-consecutive weeks, making it one of only six songs to do so.

Now's the time for you to decide who deserves the title of Artist of the Year. Place your vote below — we’ll reveal the winner right here on December 1 at 5 PM ET.
