Porcelain Black, ‘Naughty Naughty’ (Mr. Mig Elektro-Fi Remix) – Song Review

Porcelain Black is releasing the Mr. Mig Elektro-Fi Remix of her RedOne-produced track 'Naughty Naughty' as a free download on her website.

Mr. Mig has produced remixes for pop stars like Beyonce, Britney Spears and Jason Derulo. Here, he transforms Black's song, which portrays the singer as a hell-raising party girl, by taking out the heavy beat in favor of a more trance-like, atmospheric sound.

It's a little strange hearing the juxtaposition of the laid-back style with Black's in-your-face lyrics, like, "Naughty, naughty, naughty, we just wanna party / It’s all about fun and games until I hurt somebody.” But after the first chorus, spastic synths arrive to remind everyone this is still a dance song with plenty of energy.

If we were up for dancing, we'd prefer Black's original 'Naughty Naughty,' but we can appreciate the moody tone of the remix. The single version of 'Naughty Naughty' will appear on the Detroit singer's debut album, set for a 2012 release.
