Raphael Saadiq – R&B + Hip-Hop Artists From Oakland

When it comes to soulful crooning, look no further than Raphael Saadiq. The singer-songwriter has achieved plenty of success both as a solo artist and a group member with Tony! Toni! Toné!

The Oakland artist has four studio albums under his belt, including the 2008 Grammy-nominated album, 'The Way I See It,' and his latest, 'Stone Rollin.'

Now, while most people are familiar with his solo work, Saadiq has also written or produced songs for your favorite artists. Among them Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Whitney Houston, Joss Stone, Stevie Wonder, Jill Scott and fellow Oaklander Goapele, just to name a few.

When he's not in the studio, Saadiq is on the road touring with his nine-piece band across the United States. And if you are watching the small screen, you can see Saadiq rocking out in a series of 2013 TV commercials for the Toyota Prius.
