Sometimes the best advice is also the simplest, and Raven-Symone has a really obvious -- and pretty funny -- recommendation for some of her fellow former child stars: "Stay in the house."

The 'That's So Raven' and 'Cosby Show' actress, now 28, shares her words of wisdom with host Oprah Winfrey on a new episode of 'Oprah: Where Are They Now?' airing Sunday (Oct. 5), Us Weekly reports.

"Seeing all of the statistics [with] child stars going off the edge, what I've learned?" Raven-Symone says. "It's unnecessary to go to the most popular restaurant in the world when you have a scandal on your head, and then get mad that someone's gonna take a picture of you. That's your fault, boo boo. Stay in the house." She delivers it with a dose of "duh" attitude, which is a joy to witness. (Watch the promo clip above to enjoy it yourself.)

Raven-Symone credits her upbringing to keeping a level head in the face of overwhelming fame. "My parents taught me to keep my private life private to the best of my ability," she tells Winfrey. "They showed me all the role models out there that I could turn into, and what I want for myself in the future."

Believe it or not, one of her former roommates was none other than Lindsay Lohan. We'll let that factoid sink in for a moment ...

Catch the rest of Raven-Symone's interview, in which she also discusses her sexuality, on OWN this Sunday at 9PM ET.
