Ray J was afraid his girlfriend would kill him and then herself, he said in an early December 911 call obtained by TMZ.

In the call, the rapper told authorities about his fears after breaking up with a distraught Princess Love on Dec. 10. He said he was especially worried because just two days prior, a friend of his had committed murder-suicide. In that incident, rapper Earl Hayes shot and killed his girlfriend, VH1 reality star Stephanie Moseley, before turning the gun on himself.

Ray J repeatedly refers to the tragedy in his 911 call, made from his car while parked on the side of the road in Los Angeles. He is clearly upset as he asks police to check on Princess Love and alerts them to the fact that there was a gun inside the house.

"I didn't want to be in the house because Earl just killed his girlfriend and I'm afraid she might kill me," a shaken-up Ray J tells the operator.

When police went to check on the home, Princess Love was no longer there. She later reportedly insisted she meant no harm to herself or others.
