While Rick Ross was performing at Power 106's annual Cali Christmas Concert on Friday (Dec. 14), he took a moment to reflect on the senseless tragedy that happened earlier in the day at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.

The Bawse sent out prayers to the 26 victims -- 20 children and six adults -- who were shot and killed when a lone gunman entered the school and opened fire. It's unfathomed to think that such an evil deed could take place so close to the holidays. The despicable act left America with a very heavy heart.

"I wanna send all my prayers out to all the kids that lost their motherf---ng lives in Connecticut," Ross told the sold-out crowd at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, Calif. "Amen. We will all ride for them."

Rozay then segued into rapping 'Stay Schemin,' which is a little odd to perform after a solemn prayer because of the song's hardcore subject matter. Nevertheless, it was good to see him take a moment to remembered the innocent lives lost in the tragedy.

Later, Ross, and his Maybach Music Group co-hort Meek Mill, performed 'I'mma Boss' and 'Bag of Money.'

The Cali Christmas Concert featured an all-star lineup of rap heavyweights, including Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean and 2 Chainz.
