Rihanna will show her love for the people of New Orleans with a performance at Brad Pitt's Make It Right charity event on March 10. The event was coordinated to help raise monies for families who lost their homes during Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, RiRi will be joined by other performers including Seal, Sheryl Crow and the Neville Brothers. Comedian Ellen DeGeneres is the host of the all-star event, while celebrities like Sean Penn, Spike Lee, Djimon Hounsou and Kevin Spacey have been selected as co-hosts.

Pitt started Make It Right Foundation in 2007 to build environmentally-friendly homes at affordable prices. So far, the Hollywood star has organized 21 architectural firms to construct 150 single-family houses and duplexes in and donated millions of dollars, himself, to the cause. "It's remarkable," Pitt says of his charitable foundation. "And now we want to take what we've learned and expand to other parts of the U.S. and abroad."

It's always good to see music artists and celebrities give back to help those who are in need. So cheers to Rihanna for taking time out of her busy schedule for a noteworthy cause.
