Rihanna Drops Out of Victoria’s Secret Show to Finish ‘Anti’
The "FourFiveSeconds" singer (remember that song? Can you believe she released it nearly a year ago, back when things seemed so promising?) has been notoriously tight-lipped about progress regarding the album. But things finally seemed headed somewhere tangible when Rihanna unveiled both the album title and artwork in one fell swoop.
Then, just two weeks ago, Glass John -- the producer behind “Kiss It Better,” a song rumored to be on the album, but not confirmed because basically nothing is confirmed when it comes to Anti -- posted the album’s cover art along with a mysterious caption (“November 6 is my real birthday<3”), hinting at a supposed release date. This now seems highly unlikely, and we hope Glass John owns concealed property somewhere so he can wait out the Navy's fury until Anti is eventually released.
But with sad news sometimes comes good: Ellie Goulding (whose album Delirium is definitely, 100% out this Friday) will replace Rihanna at this year's runway show, joining fellow performers Selena Gomez and The Weeknd.
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show airs on December 8 at 10PM EST on CBS.
