If a new report is accurate, Rihanna will be headlining the 2013 edition of Glastonbury, the five-day event in England that is one of Europe's largest music festivals. Daily Star shared the news that RiRi is in talks to appear at the late June concert.

Rihanna will be in Europe the weekend of Glastonbury and has an open date on Friday, June 28 that would allow her to perform at the event. The festival traditionally favors rock bands, but Beyonce closed out the event in 2011.

The 'Diamonds' singer previously told Q magazine she was interested in appearing at the festival: "I have heard so many things about what happens there. I love rock music. I love Kings of Leon and The Prodigy. The music is awesome. I like the more traditional rock bands, too - Aerosmith and Bon Jovi. I think I could rock Glastonbury, no question. I know Jay-Z played. They are open to a lot more R&B. And 'Umbrella' would be the perfect song for that place, too.”

A source said, “She is the perfect choice. Beyonce stole the show two years ago and there’s no reason why Rihanna can’t do the same. She’s got a huge back catalog and is undoubtedly the biggest female artist around at the moment, bar Adele.”

The Rolling Stones are another act rumored to play Glastonbury 2013, but so far no headlining artists have been confirmed.
