Only time will tell if apparent future candidate for President of the United States Kanye West finds support in grassroots groups and Super PACs, but as of now, he can count on at least one vote: Rihanna's.

The "American Oxygen" singer told Entertainment Tonight yesterday (September 1) at the launch of her RiRi fragrance in New York City that she stands intently behind the rapper, who threw his hat into the political ring at Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards

West, who was the recipient of the show's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, said he'll run for office in 2020 as part of a 12-minute rant, during which he also questioned the value of award shows and lauded the vision of this generation's kids.

"I mean people are voting for [Donald] Trump," Rihanna says in the video above. "Who wouldn't vote for Kanye?!"

"I'm really, really elated with his speech," she adds. "His speech was incredible."

The White House, itself, hasn't necessarily received West's news with such enthusiasm. While aboard Air Force One yesterday, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest basically shrugged off Yeezy's political leanings. According to Politico, he said he's looking forward "to seeing what slogan [West] chooses to embroider on his campaign hat.”

The comment was likely in reference to Trump, who recently wore a "Make America Great Again" cap. Still, it bears mentioning that Hillary Clinton currently sells a "More Like Chillary Clinton" koozie on her campaign's website. We digress...

Surprised to hear Kanye has already got an avowed supporter in Rihanna? Tell us if his speech left you similarly convinced.

Think you really know Rihanna?
