Rihanna Requests Restraining Order on Chris Brown Be Lifted – Gossip Report
The site claims that Rihanna wants the restraining order to be reduced to level one, meaning that she and Brown could have regular contact as long as there is no harassment.
It’s been two years since the assault, which occurred on Grammy weekend in 2009. MTV reported that Judge Patricia Schnegg has praised Brown for completing his community service and counseling requirements.
“Of all probationers I’ve ever had, and I’ve had thousands of probationers, no one has ever done a better or more consistent job than you have,” Schnegg told Brown in November. “And I really want to commend you for taking responsibility, and for actually working diligently to complete all of the things the court has required of you.”
Both artists are multiple nominees at this Sunday’s Grammy Awards, but don’t expect to see them sitting together, as the order is unlikely to be reduced before the ceremony. Brown is nominated for three awards, while Rihanna is up for four, including Record of the Year for her work with Eminem on ‘Love the Way You Lie,’ a song about domestic abuse that eerily recalled her relationship with Brown.
