Fans of K-Pop group Ladies' Code continue to mourn as it was announced Saturday, Sept. 6, that Kwon Ri-sae (aka RiSe) had passed away as a result of a deadly car crash. The same car crash claimed the life of another Ladies' Code member, EunB, on Sept. 3.

RiSe was 23 years old at the time of her death.

On Sept. 3, the band's label, Polaris Entertainment, released the following statement regarding what happened during the accident: “After a schedule in Daegu on September 2, Ladies′ Code was headed back to Seoul,” the agency said (via Yahoo! Philippines). “Around 1:30 AM in Suwon, an issue occured [sic] with the car′s back wheel coming off. With the rainy road and wheel coming off, the vehicle spun several times, hitting a guardrail.”

At the time, RiSe was listed in critical condition and was unconscious. Another band member, So Jung, was hospitalized as well, while EunB died at the crash site.

RiSe underwent brain surgery in an attempt to revive the young singer but she never regained conscious.

We send our condolences to Kwon Ri-sae's family and fans of Ladies' Code worldwide.
