As we reported last week, Rita Ora has filed a lawsuit against her label Roc Nation and its owner Jay Z, claiming they've significantly hurt her career as she's tried to record and release her sophomore album.

According to The Daily Mirror, the lawsuit's taken another turn and has pulled another artist into the legal battle: Rihanna. Ora's decision to file the lawsuit against Roc Nation in the first place is reportedly due to her long-standing feud with the "BBHMM" hitmaker, whom Ora and her defense team claim is responsible for Ora not being treated as a priority at the label. Apparently, at least in the words of an anonymous source, "Rihanna has never liked Rita and has been using her power at Roc Nation accordingly."

Ora also allegedly claims that Rihanna has been offered all the hit tracks before she was. As a source involved in the dispute explains, "Songs that might be submitted to her are automatically given to Rihanna, who may then hold them for months before deciding she doesn’t want them. The fact that Rita’s ex Calvin Harris is on their management books hasn’t helped either."

Of Harris, the same source argues that Roc Nation did not prevent the international superstar DJ from reportedly banning Ora from using any of the songs they produced together for her still-forthcoming album following their not-so-cordial breakup.

Ultimately, Ora's defense team blames Roc Nation's growing interest in diversifying their portfolio for neglecting her and her career. Now there are "fewer resources available and the company suffered a revolving door of executives. Rita's remaining supporters at the label left or moved on to other activities, to the point where she no longer had a relationship with anyone at the company."
