Robert Pattinson's rumored new girlfriend FKA Twigs has taken a stand against racism after receiving countless racist tweets recently.

Ever since word spread that the half-Jamaican and half-Spanish singer was dating the 'Twilight' actor, FKA Twigs has been the subject of racist tweets from fans, trolls, and just all-around haters. And last night (Sept. 28), she had enough of the hate, tweeting out two heartfelt messages:

Too true! All too often, celebrities and other prominent figures are the subject of so much hate online, especially on social media. It's way too easy to casually tweet a message of any sort to a celeb and just assume they won't read it. But like Demi Lovato and other celebs have shown, they can see your tweets -- and words are powerful.

In fact, this is not the first time that FKA Twigs has dealt with hurtful words from others, being a target of racist taunts when she was a kid.

"People said horrible things about something I had no control of, which was tough," she revealed to Dazed. "I never really saw anything wrong with how I looked, it was more that certain people pointed things out to you about yourself. Either your hair's different, or the colour of your skin, or your features. Half of my life I've had people staring at me because they think I'm funny-looking and ugly. The other half of my life
I've had people staring at me because they think I'm fascinating."

And that second half is all she needs to focus on.
