Russell Brand has had a dark past filled with drugs and alcohol, but a new report claims that the comedian's sex addiction was the catalyst for his divorce from Katy Perry.

According to Hollywood Life via Us Weekly, a source said, "Katy was kinky enough during their first times together and he was very attracted to her." The insider added, "When things got bad, if they got a roll in the hay, they were always better after."

However, while Brand's sexual appetite may have been too much for the pop star, Perry's hard-partying ways and hectic schedule may have also contributed to the relationship's demise. In addition, Brand was reportedly unsupportive of the 'Teenage Dream' singer's career.

"She had so many things going on this year and there were so many times he wasn't there," a source said. "He told her she wasn't funny [when she hosted 'SNL'] and he was totally uninterested [when he sat front row at her last concert]. He seemed annoyed he was there. I don't think he sat through one whole song."

Moving vans were spotted at the couple's L.A. home on Wednesday. After 14 months of marriage, the A-list pair announced their split on Dec. 30 when Brand released a statement saying, "Sadly, Katy and I are ending out marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."
