Sam Smith graced the cover of V Magazine's upcoming issue, heart (and shirt!) open to the world. And he's not holding back in the interview either, letting out his true feelings for some of today's pop artists.

While engaged in a dialogue with pop icon Chaka Khan, the 22-year-old singer revealed that he is appalled by the behavior of some of his fellow celebs. Yikes!

"Even when you meet them -- I won't name names -- but some of these pop stars are just awful," the 'Stay With Me' singer admitted to Khan (quote via E! News). "And they have not even had half the success that you've had and yet you're so humble and kind."

Chaka Khan's explanation? It's the way that our generation has grown up with screen-heavy technology like computers and iPhones.

"Well, it's people skills," Khan explained. "Talking to a screen all day long takes the human experience out. Luckily I grew up in a time when we only had a telephone at home."

Hmmm. We're not entirely sure that too much screen time is necessarily to blame here -- though we can definitely see how celebs can let the constant adoration from fans on social media get to their heads just a little. It's addictive!

PopCrushers, what do you think of Sam Smith's remarks about his fellow pop stars' attitudes? Do you agree with him?
