Fall Out Boy took a trip down to the 2013 SXSW Festival, where they chatted about their new album -- and why it's not really a reunion.

Joe Trohman, rocking a therious lithp, explained that Fall Out Boy can't have a reunion because they never really broke up. But in keeping with that theme, he revealed that the reason they kept the band's reunion a secret was because they didn't want anyone breathing down their necks.

"I think if we just announced, 'We're gonna start writing!' that people would be looking over our shoulders, trying to get in the mix," he said. "It's a lot easier to start doing it for the sake of doing it, without people putting their hands in the pot, looking over your shoulder and what not."

The band also explained that they ran into Elton John in the studio, and he endorsed their 'Save Rock and Roll' album title. "He was like, 'You need to stand behind that title!'" Patrick Stump laughed. "'Cause you're gonna p--- a lot of people off that you're supposed to p--- off."
