Scotty McCreery's schedule is jam-packed. Not only is he getting ready to release his debut album, 'Clear as Day,' next week, but he's also been tapped to sing 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at Game 1 of the World Series.

According to Hits Daily Double, the 'American Idol' winner has been selected to perform the National Anthem for the big event, which will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 19. In addition to the MLB honor, McCreery is scheduled to perform at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Meanwhile, the 17-year-old will be busy promoting his first LP with a slew of television appearances during his release week, including performances on 'Today,' 'Live With Regis and Kelly,' 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno' and 'The Ellen Degeneres Show.'

“I am so excited,” the singer said in a press release. “This is something we’ve been working on for months now and the release date is almost here. We are super-stoked and ready for you guys to hear the music.”

The 'AI' star will also celebrate his 18th birthday with a joint album release party and birthday bash on Saturday, Oct. 8 (one day before his real birthday) at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek in Raleigh, N.C.
