Selena Gomez Meets Audrey Nethery, Young YouTube Star With Rare Disorder
During a meet and greet at Selena Gomez's Revival Tour concert in Louisville, Kentucky on June 22, the pop star finally got to meet a very special young fan: 7-year-old YouTube star Audrey Nethery!
Sharing their precious meeting on Instagram, the singer posted an adorable clip of the two boogieing down to "Love You Like a Love Song," one of the tracks Audrey has sung and danced along to in one of her many viral videos.
"Finally got to meet this sweetheart," Selena captioned the clip. "She owned it fully."
The little girl, who hails from Kentucky, suffers from Diamond Blackfan Anemia, a rare disorder which requires her to undergo near-constant blood transfusions due to her body's inability to produce red blood cells and circulate oxygen. But that doesn't stop Audrey from doing what she loves most: singing and dancing her heart out.
In 2015, her parents uploaded a handful of videos of their daughter dancing spiritedly at Zumba class, and the clips went viral, leading to features on The Rachael Ray Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. In January 2016, Audrey's father posted a video of the tiny dancer singing and dancing along to Selena's 2011 single, "Love You Like a Love Song," a clip which quickly racked up hundreds of thousands of views.
