Get ready to see a whole new side of Selena Gomez. The squeaky clean starlet will do all sorts of shady things in her new movie, 'Spring Breakers' -- including drinking, partying and spending time behind bars!

Gomez told E! Online that once her South American tour wraps up in three weeks, she'll head down to Florida to shoot the Harmony Korine film. She's taking a break from music to focus on the movie, in part because it's a role she fought for tooth and nail. "I'm nervous," Gomez admitted. "It's a little edgy, but it's fun. I fought for that role. I flew to Nashville and told him I want be a part of it."

In the film, Gomez and her pals rob a bank to pay for their spring break vacation. James Franco also appears in the movie as a hip-hop-loving drug and arms dealer.

Sel's angelic image is part of what earned her the part of Faith, the relative goody-goody of the bada-- bunch she runs with. "She's the little more tamed down character but also still gets a little crazy here and there," Gomez revealed. "She goes on spring break with her girlfriends and they end up getting into a whole mess of things. They're partying and drinking. We end up in jail."

Sounds like a fun flick to us! The dark comedy is scheduled for an independent release in 2013.
