Selena Gomez is always connecting with her fans from her Twitter account, and the star is using the social networking site for the benefit of others this time around. The 18-year-old singer/actress asked fans to help with the relief efforts benefiting the victims of the extremely destructive tornadoes that hit the South in late April.

Gomez is setting out to specifically help the children whose lives were affected by the massive damage done by the tornadoes. "Help those effected by the tornados. Donate $10 to @SavetheChildren's Southeast U.S. division by texting "TWISTER" to 20222 #tornado," Gomez tweeted.

Later in the day, Gomez thanked her fans for supporting the relief efforts, writing, "Awww! You guys are so amazing! Thank you for the TT!! Made my day! I love you guys : )."
