We're sad to report this news. Selena Gomez's mother suffered a miscarriage yesterday, causing the 'Who Says' singer to cancel concerts this weekend.

E! Online reports that Gomez was in the audience at Power 106.1 Cali Christmas concert when she learned of the devastating news. Gomez immediately left the show to go home to be with her family.

Gomez had announced via Twitter in late November that her mother Mandy and stepfather Brian Teefey were expecting. "Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news," Gomez wrote. "My mommys carrying my baby brother or sister : ) I'm the happiest girl in the world!”

Gomez cancelled tonight's scheduled performance at the B96 Jingle Bash 2011 at the Allstate Arena in Illinois. Her 106.1 KISS FM Jingle Bell Bash that was originally scheduled for tomorrow at the WaMu Theater in Seattle is postponed due to OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder's vocal rest.

While Gomez is still slated to appear on MTV's New Year's Eve special, it is unclear if she is still attending.

Our thoughts go out to Gomez and her family in this difficult time.
