Selena Gomez to Release Perfume in 2012

The perfume craze continues! Following in the steps of boyfriend Justin Bieber, as well as female poppers Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Katy Perry, Selena Gomez is the latest pop star to jump on the fragrance wagon. She is planning on releasing her very own scent in 2012.

According to a press release, the 18-year-old singer/actress has teamed up with extreme sports brand Adrenalina for a perfume deal. "We are incredibly enthused to be working with Ms. Gomez and will reveal more details pertaining to the fragrance as we get closer to the launch date," said chairman and CEO of Adrenalina, Ilia Lekach.

The eau de parfum is anticipated to hit retailers in the spring of 2012, and despite the fact that it is being endorsed by an "adventure-themed brand," we think the scent will be as girly and delicate as Gomez herself.

The news leaves just one question on our minds: Will Selena be able to outsell her beau in the perfume department? Bieber earned $3 million in sales just three weeks after the launch of his women's fragrance, Someday.
