Selena Gomez just wrapped her promotional efforts for 'Spring Breakers' and she is gearing up to drop her new single 'Come & Get It,' so her singer and actress dance cards are (and have been) pretty full. She just added another gig to her schedule -- a role in the upcoming film 'Rudderless,' which is the directorial debut of actor William H. Macy. No wonder she isn't crying over her split with Justin Bieber. She's too busy to let herself get down in the dumps and to mourn a breakup.

The film is said to be a musical drama, and features Macy, Anton Yelchin and Macy's real life wife Felicity Huffman in the cast, along with Laurence Fishburne and Billy Crudup.

The plot follows a grieving father who forms a band after finding songs written by his late son. He hopes that his work in the band will help ease his grief.

Sounds like a film we'd like to see.

Sel tweeted her happiness about boarding the film.
