Did Selena Gomez Wear the Same Dress Two Years In a Row? [PHOTO]

One of the risks you take as a celebrity when you prepare for a huge awards show is the chance that someone else in attendance will show up wearing the same thing as you. But what about wearing the same dress two years in a row? Talk about a fashion faux-pas.

So when it looked like Selena Gomez showed up to the 2015 Golden Globe Awards wearing the same dress she wore to the 2014 Hollywood Stands Up to Cancer Gala, we knew we had to do a little detective work just to make sure we were wrong. And it looks like we were!

While both outfits look insanely similar at first glance, on closer inspection you can tell that even their respective shades of white are different. (It's that tired debate of eggshell vs. cream, right? Totally.). The most important difference? In 2014, Selena wore a BCBG Max Azria wide-leg jumpsuit with a plunging neckline and cutouts around the waist. Meanwhile, in 2015, she wore a Kaufmanfranco dress to the Golden Globes. So while they do look eerily similar, they're not even the same item of clothing. Phew!

Selena clearly knows what color and silhouette works for her (really, she looks amazing), so we totally don't blame her for taking on two similar looks.
