Selena Gomez already does good for kids by offering them a positive role model, but following her UNICEF charity concert on Friday, she's doing a whole lot more. The second-annual event raised over $200,000 for the United Nations Children's Fund.

Selena -- with beau Justin Bieber in tow to dog sit -- took the stage at the Los Angeles House of Blues to help tally up the funds with her band, the Scene. The 19-year-old multi-platform starlet has been involved with the charitable group since 2008 and became an official rep in 2009.

Following her set, Sel shared the good news with her fans via Facebook. "Thank You to all who came out to the show last night at House of Blues on Sunset," she gushed. "That is one of the shows I look forward to the most and cannot wait for next year's show."

While $200,000 is being used as a placeholder to mark how much Gomez and UNICEF raised, in actuality it's probably a bit more. "I don't have an exact number but together we all raised over 200,000 dollars to benefit UNICEF," Selena added later. "Were [sic] helping to save the lives of children all over the world."

We'd say she's off to a good start!
