A Grammy and Emmy-winning 'Sesame Street' composer was arraigned on child pornography charges on Monday, Nov. 21. Fernando Rivas, 59, is accused of production, distribution and possession of child pornography in South Carolina. He is charged with producing the material and using a computer to transport the material across state and U.S. borders. Those are some pretty despicable claims, but he has pleaded not guilty and is free on $300,000 bond.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Cuban-born Rivas attended the prestigious Juilliard School of Music in New York City. In addition to composing for 'Sesame Street, he also produced music for Disney's 'Handy Mandy.' The accused certainly traffics in the children's business and is rather celebrated for his talents, but the things he stands accused of are rather heinous.
