Shaggy and Pitbull Bring The World Together with Uplifting ‘Only Love (feat. Gene Noble)': Premiere
The two musical pals have teamed up twice in the past on record already, on both Shaggy's "Fired Up (F**k the Rece$$ion!)" on Summer in Kingston and a special remix of Pitbull's latest Spanish single, “Piensas (Dile la verdad)." So...third time's an even hotter outing, right? Dale!
Except, wait! "Only Love" is the duo's third outing together — and, surprisingly, they're not just here to party. They're here to uplift.
"Let's show the world how powerful love is," Pitbull announces at the start of the song.
The track, which features soulful vocals by NYC-based singer Gene Noble, is all about bringing the world together as one.
"Only love can conquer all / And move mountains when you cold makes you warm again / Only love heals a broken heart," Shaggy declares across the throbbing, summery pulsations. It's a heartwarming collaboration for sure, and certainly a welcome break from the usual poppin' bottles/sexy ladies themes of mo.
"'Only Love' is my gift to the world. We make records, we think global, and it's my hope that this song will bring love to everyone and touch them in a special way. Thanks to Pitbull and Gene Noble for helping me bring this vision to life," Shaggy tells us of the track.
