Latin pop siren Shakira has inked with Jay-Z's Roc Nation for management services, reports XXL. The Colombian singer is a powerhouse in the music world with two Grammy Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards and twelve Billboard Latin Music Awards under her belt. Her last album 2010's 'The Sun Comes Out' sold four million copies worldwide.

This is a good look for Jay-Z whose company manages the careers of such chart-topping artists as Rihanna, Melanie Fiona and Wale. They also managed producers like No I.D. and S1 who contributed tracks on Jay-Z and Kanye West's collaborative album 'Watch the Throne.' On the Roc Nation label, J. Cole, Jay Electronica, Bridget Kelly and Willow Smith complete the roster.

For Shakira, this is a great opportunity for her to expand her musical horizons and have her pick of collaborators for her next music project. Can you imagine Shakira moving her nimble hips next to Rihanna on a No I.D.-produced track? That would be muy calienté!

After narrowly avoiding an attack by a sea lion in South Africa, Shakira now has Roc Nation protecting her from the sharks in the music industry. All jokes aside, we can't wait to see what Shakira is going to bring with Hov overseeing her career.

It's the Roc!
