Colombian pop princess Shakira is already a worldwide pop star -- and now she's officially joining the ranks of Hollywood royalty.

The 'Hips Don't Lie' singer will receive her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Nov. 8, the same day she's scheduled to be honored with the Person of the Year award at the 2011 Latin Grammys

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce broke the news on its website yesterday (Nov. 1), detailing Shakira's charity work through her Pies Dezcalsos foundation, noting that she was recently named Latin American education ambassador by Barack Obama, and pointing out that her lifetime record sales make her "the highest-selling Colombian artist of all time." Her Walk of Fame ceremony is scheduled to take place at the corner of Hollywood and Vine, across the street from the W Hollywood Hotel.

Shakira's most recent album, 'Sale el Sol,' has been certified for worldwide sales of over four million copies since its release in October of last year. She's scheduled to release a concert album, 'Shakira: Live From Paris,' on Dec. 6.
