R&B songbird Shanell (aka Snl) has been crowned the First Lady of Young Money way before Nicki Minaj joined the illustrious label. She's been laying low behind the scenes in A&R development, penning songs for Lil Wayne and other artists as she waits her turn to shine as a soloist.

Well, that time has come and for her introductory single, 'So Good,' she grabs YM cohorts Wayne and Drake to recite a few verses. Produced by the hit-making team of Cool & Dre, the bouncy song boasts stirring violins and an 808 thump that perfect for car cruising in Miami or California.

On the song, Shanell pines for her boo who seems to be mysteriously absent. "And when ya gone too long / I'm waiting with your T-shirt on / Playing love songs," she sings. "You make me feel good / You tell me love is crazy / I guess that we are too / There ain't a thing I won’t do to prove that I’ll be here for you."

Much of Weezy lyrics are reflective of the money boasting he's known. He raps, "Tune go hard, y’all softer than my car top / Hank Gathers, I’ma ball 'til my heart stops." Meanwhile, Drizzy is up for a little girl chasing at the start of his day. "You know I wake up like a king, get up, stunt / Take advantage of the day, this s--t won't happen more than once / Know I’m ready for whatever, ready for the action / I’m still focused on my s--t, but girl I’m up for a distraction," he spits.

After dominating the rap game, it's good to see Young Money move into the R&B world with Shanell as their flagship artist. The singer-songwriter has a soulful voice and we can't wait to see what she can bring on her own without the assistance of Wayne and Drake. For now, this is a cool track to rock to in the name of love.
