Despite the fact that Justin Bieber has no idea who he is, Shawn Mendes is still truckin' on and singing his songs.

But the 17-year-old singer-songwriter isn't just singing any old song, like maybe his hit single, "Stitches" or something off of his #1 debut record, Handwritten. Oh no! He, along with BBC Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw, had something better in mind — in the form a duet dedicated to dishes.

Inspired by Demi Lovato's very incredible "I love mugs" interview, the twosome tackled the wide world of dishware in an impromptu acoustic jam session, serving up sweetly crooned interpretations of fan-submitted lyrics about their favorite kinds of dishes, from gravy boats to finger bowls.

As with their previous "Saddest Song Ever" collaboration, the two — or, well, maybe just Shawn — manage to make the mundane sound oh so sweet. See, Demetria? You're hardly the only dish enthusiast out there.

Check out Shawn's dishware ditty up top, which will surely inspire a trip to Bed, Bath & Beyond.
