Skylar Grey has been adding hooks to hit songs like Diddy-Dirty Money's 'Coming Home,' Dr. Dre's 'I Need a Doctor' and Lupe Fiasco's 'Words I Never Said.' Now, she's discussing the details about her own album, set for release this fall.

At this week's BMI Awards, Grey announced plans to release a "buzz single" in the next few weeks to get people talking about the record, followed by an official single in June.

"Every song sounds different," she says. "It's really diverse, going from cinematic to fun to dark."

Grey also said there won't be a lot of collaborations on the record, noting that she only has teamed up with one featured artist on the album so far. "I'm not telling you who it is, but it's somebody you would never expect," she teases.

Grey nabbed a Grammy nomination this year for her songwriting contributions to Eminem's 'Love the Way You Lie.' She has been recording with producer Alex da Kid and will likely preview some of the new solo material at Lollapalooza.
