Singer/songwriter Skylar Grey was recently featured as part of NPR's year-end roundup of people who had a great 2011, and for very good reason: even though she might not be a household name (yet), Grey has co-written a passel of big hits for artists such as Eminem, Kaskade, and Lupe Fiasco. Although her full-length debut is still waiting for a release date, Grey is kicking off 2012 with a brand new EP.

Titled 'The Buried Sessions,' the new EP collects Grey's versions of three songs she wrote for other artists: 'Words I Never Said' (Lupe Fiasco) 'Love the Way You Lie' (Eminem) and 'Coming Home,' which was a hit for Diddy-Dirty Money. The digital-only release is scheduled to reach retailers on January 17.

Just before Christmas, Grey debuted her stripped-down versions of Lupe's hit song 'Words I Never Said' and Diddy's chart-topper 'Coming Home' with a pair of YouTube videos. Check them out below and let us know what you think. Will you be buying Grey's new EP 'The Buried Sessions'?
